BENT TREE -

Im coming back to Bent Tree, where you said wed always be,
Forget about this world with a simple melody,
Where you could see for miles atop this canopy,
Spending all these hours nearly falling on my knees

And I almost forgot that feeling,
Of watching you step beyond my reach,
And I almost forgot the meaning,
Of all of those fading memories

Im coming back to Bent Tree, where you said wed always find,
The keys to my chains to break the tie that binds,
A little inspiration through this strong scent of pine,
To use this as a lantern for a darker time

And I almost forgot that feeling,
Of watching you step beyond my reach,
And I almost forgot the meaning,
Of all of those fading memories

Of catching rides on the tails of the wind,
Reminding me with every letter I send,
Its always been so simple to me,
But its so hard to stay what we seem

Im coming back to bent tree, where you said wed always be,
Can I find you here at Bent Tree
